COURSES OPTIONS |
The courses offered in the Earth Literacy At Home program are sufficiently equivalent to courses given at Genesis Farm and St. Thomas University that they can be taken for graduate credit from St. Thomas University (STU) in Miami, FL. If you wish to receive graduate credit for a course, here is the administrative procedure. 1. Notify Larry (LarryEdwards3159@yahoo.com) that you would like to take the course for credit. 2. Larry will send you two STU forms: the registration form, and the application form sides 1& 2. 3. The 2005-06 STU tuition for a course is $1,070 plus an application fee of $40. Of the STU tuition, $150 goes to STU and $920 is payable to Genesis Farm. 4. Mail directly to Liz Scheel; Admissions Office; St. Thomas University; 16401 NW 37th Ave; Miami Gardens FL 33054 the following documents: the completed forms; a check for $190 made out to St. Thomas University (Put your social security number on the check.); a photocopy of your bachelor's degree; and a short cover letter explaining that you are taking a STU course at Genesis Farm in New Jersey. 5. Mail the check for $920 to Genesis Farm; 41A Silver Lake Road; Blairstown, Attention: Finances. 6. If you cannot locate your Bachelor's degree or have any questions about how to certify that you have a Bachelor's degree (or any other such questions), email Liz at eramirez AT stu.edu. Please copy Larry on any email to Liz. You can also phone Liz at 800-367-9010 or 305-628-6614; but emailing is more convenient for her (and keeps Larry informed). 7. At the end of the course you will be given a final exam - several questions to which you will write short answers (maybe half a page for each answer). There may be 10 or so questions and you will choose 7 or so out of the 10 to answer. |
